Join START for our 3rd annual Meat-Out! The Great American Meatout is held for the purpose of educating the general public on the health, environmental, and ethical benefits of living cruelty-free. The last few years we’ve celebrated this dinner in Lent fashion!
Stop by for a plate piled high with delicious vegan versions of some traditional fish fry favorites. This event will take place in collaboration with our bi-monthly member meeting, so donations are happily accepted but not required. We look forward to seeing you!
Bi-Monthly Member Meetings
We will begin gathering in-person again for our member meetings. Venues may differ per meeting, so keep mind of the location changes. Usual meeting times are 7-9pm and are held the second Tuesday of every other month, unless otherwise indicated.

We are still accepting donations toward our Petland billboard. If you would like to help with these costs, read here!
START has adopted a stretch Highway along Highway 170 at the Delmar Blvd. on-ramp!
START volunteers are needed to help pick up trash along "our" piece of the highway. We will coordinate four cleanup events a year over the next three years.
Please consider helping us help the environment while getting the word out about START! Please let us know if you would like to help with this. Many thanks to Bill Ash for taking the lead on this project and making it happen!
We will always meet up at the following location: 170 to Delmar west, parking lot on the right(north)
Next Highway Clean-up... TBA
