The St. Louis County Council’s ordinance to allow deer hunting in St. Louis County Parks is unlawful. Deer hunting has been specifically prohibited in St. Louis County parks for nearly 30 years. In addition, these hunts are dangerous to public safety, especially because the parks will remain open during the hunts, with only minimal and deliberately vague signage to alert park goers.

PARKING/ACCESSIBILITY: There are several businesses near this four way intersection that have public parking. There are also accessible crosswalks and sidewalks.

Horse Carriage Protest

Saturday December 11, 2021

6pm

S McKnight & Litzsinger

We will be peacefully gathering outside Tilles Park Winter Wonderland light display to protest the continuous use of horse carriages. Two horses, Cash and King, have died pulling carriages for this winter festivity, and we plan to show others that this tradition is cruel.

Materials: Signs and banners will be provided (although you may bring your own)! Please dress warm!

Parking: You may park in a near by neighborhood and walk to the location on Litzsinger Road. Please keep in mind it will be dark and there are no sidewalks located on Litzsinger so please keep an eye out for cars!(Some folks tend to park at McKnight Crossings Church parking lot, but if there is a service taking place this will not be possible)!

Please message us with any comments or questions!

START has adopted a stretch Highway along Highway 170 at the Delmar Blvd. on-ramp!

START volunteers are needed to help pick up trash along "our" piece of the highway.  We will coordinate four cleanup events a year over the next three years. Please consider helping us help the environment while getting the word out about START!  Please let us know if you would like to help with this.  Many thanks to Bill Ash for taking the lead on this project and making it happen!

(December clean-up will be scheduled soon)
